Nilo is a wonderful instructor and person. Even though you may (and probably will) be attending the session with at least some strangers, Nilo puts everyone at ease and gets people talking, all while teaching not just the physical art of kintsugi, but also its mindset. For those who may be concerned that the metaphor of kintsugi for life and living may be on the nose (and potentially preachy), you can attend with assurance that Nilo handles this gracefully. It was genuinely a joy to attend and to speak with her.

Had a very lovely and therapeutic session today with Nilo! She was very patient and kind, and a fantastic person to speak with. Taught me to think deeper about flaws and how it too can be beautiful- overall a 5/5 experience and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a different sort of workshop experience.

Nilo, our guide for the session, brought warmth and wisdom to the experience, making us feel comfortable as we navigated this ancient Japanese art form. We were also fortunate to share the workshop with another lovely couple, and what started as a simple creative activity soon became a meaningful exchange of stories and laughter.
By the time we left, we felt not only accomplished but also deeply moved. The workshop served as a reminder that imperfections are not flaws but part of a greater story, waiting to be embraced with grace and appreciation.
We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique and enriching experience—whether for a date, a gathering with friends, or a moment of self-reflection. If you allow yourself, it can be truly transformative.

Thank you Nilo for the session today and making my sister’s birthday so memorable. Personally, I’m very happy to have done this - been thinking of it for months!! It’s really very therapeutic and I love how life lessons can be learnt through the process.
It’s akin to pottery where we start with a lump of clay, mould them into shapes and then to fire them under intense heat. The end product emerges nice and strong, resembling resilience. Like growing up in life. Kintsugi then fits in when our pottery cracks and break with life’s challenges but we can heal and mend ourselves to emerge stronger than before and the cracks are battle scars that we can be very proud of. I’ll remember this session, your warmth and your heart to share and inspire every time I see my piece. It’s gonna be sitting on my office desk . Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

I went into the Kintsugi class feeling broken within me. When my vase piece was smashed, I felt that was just like me. 😔
Then I started assembling the broken pieces together, from the smallest piece to the biggest one. The fixing required me to be gentle with the broken pieces. Every attachment needed time for the glue to harden and fix. It taught me that I need to be kind and patient with myself and give myself time to heal. ☺️
Slowly but surely my vase piece was restored. It was more beautiful than when it was before. The gold veins running through the vase showed the scars that it bore - they were not hidden, but revealed in splendour. 😊
I believe that one day I will be able to fully heal too, and will be more beautiful and stronger than before. 🤗
Thank you Teacher Nilo and the Kintsugi class 🙏❤️

Booked a session for myself and my wife as a Valentine’s Day activity. Definitely was not disappointed! The activity was relaxing and therapeutic, with a calming ambience perfect to take you out of the hustle of city life. We went away with some nuggets of wisdom from our fellow course attendees as we shared our reflections after putting together our Kintusgi pieces. The instructor Nilo was warm in her guidance, and her ability to help attendees reflect on the activity was wonderful.

Our first Kintsugi experience and it was great! Nilo is very patient and encouraged us to internalize and share our takeaways from the session, and that creates a very deep personal meaning for each participant. Highly recommend to check her out if you are considering a Kintsugi session!

My friends brought me here for a surprise birthday activity and we could not have had a better experience . Nilo was so knowledgeable and kind, and encouraged us to reflect on how kintsugi related to parts of our lives that might be “broken” or difficult. We had a meaningful time learning this beautiful craft in such a peaceful and comfortable studio. Thank you Nilo!
