Mend & Give: A Kintsugi Charity Workshop for Mental Health

Create a Kintsugi piece with your own hands — and let it become a symbol of hope for someone else. In this special workshop, participants will create something deeply symbolic — transforming brokenness into beauty while supporting mental health in Singapore. Every piece created in this workshop will later be offered for sale during World Mental Health Day in October, with all proceeds donated to the Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) to support their life-saving work. Through the philosophy of Kintsugi, we honour the truth that brokenness is part of being human — and healing is possible. Participants will leave knowing that the piece they restored will continue its journey — becoming a symbol of hope for someone else, and helping support the vital work of mental health care in Singapore. Sometimes the smallest acts — mending a broken bowl with gold — can ripple outward in ways we cannot imagine. What this workshop entails 1) You will select, break and mend the ceramic through Kintsugi. 2) After fixing and sharing reflections and pic taking, YOU WILL LEAVE YOUR PIECE BEHIND WITH US with a short note to the person who will be buying this gift to thank them for their donation. 3) All materials and guidance provided. 4) Japanese snacks and green tea provided.
